Orders
I did not receive the food that I ordered, what should I do?
Please call us at 519-2939 as soon as possible so we can make arrangements. We will solve the problem as quickly as we can.
I forgot to order
You can send us a line at maul@maul.is. We review later orders after noon, so we cannot accept same-day orders as the notice period is too short. We then recommend that you go to settings and turn on reminders, both by email and SMS, but we send you a reminder every Thursday and Friday.
Where can I see my order?
You click on the tab “your orders”. There you will find a list of all your orders, divided by weeks. You can browse between weeks using the arrow buttons at the top of the page.
Can I cancel my meal?
Yes! You can cancel until 16:00 the day before. To cancel, select „your orders“ and click "Cancel" under the dish you want to cancel.
Can I change my order?
Yes, you can change the order while orders are open. If orders have been closed, you can try sending us an email at maul@maul.is - please note, however, the service center's opening hours.
What does the feedback button do?
This is our feedback system. You can share your experience at Mauli with us and tell us what you thought of the food. We hope that you and your coworkers enjoy this as often as possible, as this information helps us greatly in choosing dishes for the menu.
Can I change my delivery location?
If your workplace has more than one delivery location, you can switch between them after you log in. You will find that option under “Settings”.
Please note that this change can only be made until 16:00 the day before delivery. If you want to change the default delivery location, please contact us at maul@maul.is and we will assist you.
We are small company and the delivery fees are quite high
We encourage smaller companies in the same premises to join forces. We can offer a discount on the delivery fee for neighbors. Please send us a line at maul@maul.is and we will make you an offer.

Can have different menu than my coworkers?
If you are a true foodie or love having a hard time choosing, you can convince your coworkers that, as a workplace, you should switch to the premium package. There, each person can choose a menu with an emphasis on fish, light dishes, gluten-free, low-carb, vegetarian, vegan, or meat dishes.
Why does it say "Menu not ready"?
It is because we have not opened for orders! We publish a new Menu at 10:15 on Thursday mornings. You can be sure not to miss it by turning on the notifications under “settings”.
How do I change my deluxe menu?
You can customize the menu by choosing what you want to "focus on" in the menu controls. It is located at the top of the Menu on the Menu page. Note that this only works when you are on the deluxe menu.
How do I update my diet preference?
You click on "settings" and choose from the options in the dropdown marked diet. Remember to save your settings when you have made your selection.
What's the difference between menu and diet?
Now you can change the focus of your menu by selecting different options in the drop down menu on the menu page. You can still set your diet preference in "settings". Your preference will filter out dishes not suitable to your selected diet. Keep your diet settings on "omnivore" for the maximum variety.
Why can't I just see all available dishes?
We unfortunately need to control on how many orders our restaurants get. We deliver more than 1600 dishes each day, we need to make sure our restaurants get orders suited to their capacity.
Authentication
What information is required from me to register?
You need to insert name, email and a password. Note that the password must be at minimum 8 characters.
Can I change my email?
For now, you cannot change your email address yourself, but you can contact us at maul@maul.is and we will take care of it for you. You can, however, sign up again with a new work email address.
I don't have a company provided email address
Send us an email at maul@maul.is that contains your name, company and the email you want to register with. We will add you to our system.
I forgot my password
You can reset your password, by simply pressing the "reset password" link on the sign in page. You will then receive an email to your registered email address. Note that the email may end up in "spam". You enter this code into the input that popped up when you pressed the *Reset Password* link.
I can not sign in
This could be due to various reasons, but a blue bar will appear at the top of the screen telling you what kind of error has occurred. Please email us at maul@maul.is so we can solve the problem.
I did not receive the confirmation email while registering
Make sure you check your trash and spam folders. Sometimes the email ends there. If you are still sure that you didn't receive the confirmation code please reach out to us at maul@maul.is

General
How does Maul work?
With Maul's help, workplaces can have delicious and varied food delivered to them with minimal effort from over 75 restaurants in the capital area. Every Thursday we publish a brand-new Maul menu with several dishes from different restaurants for each day. Each employee orders for themselves for the week, and then we show up with piping hot food for you.
Whats the price for each meal?
This is pretty simple! We have two prices for all our dishes. All dishes on the regular menu cost 2,995 kr. and all dishes in the premium package cost 3,375 kr. See delivery prices below.
What is the delivery cost?
It depends on how many orders you place. 1-12 orders 5,200 kr. | 13 - 22 orders 2,600 kr. | 23+ orders 0 kr. We give companies that receive delivery at the same location a 50% discount on the shipping fee and offer good discounts when we are in the area. Please get in touch and we will do what we can to minimize shipping costs.
Whats the minimum amount of orders?
There is no minimum order :)
When does the food arrive?
You can expect us from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM for lunch and from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM for dinner. On weekends, you can expect lunch to be served from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM and dinner from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
My company wants to start ordering from Maul, where do we sign up?
You can register your workplace in business by clicking here and filling out the form. We will send you an email with instructions on the next steps when we have registered you in Maulið.
When do I order?
A new menu goes live every Thursday at 10:15. Orders are open until the end of the workday on Friday.
I didn't like the food! What can I do?
We recommend that you use the review system on your ordering page. Suggestions that are submitted are delivered to the restaurants anonymously. They then contact us if they want to respond, and we pass the responses on.
When menus are prepared, reviews are taken into account and what has proven successful is selected for the menu. We make every effort to keep our customers full and happy and examine each piece of feedback individually with that goal in mind.
Does Maul offer dinner and/or meals on weekends?
We offer lunch and dinner every day, both on weekdays and weekends. Evening and weekend meals are slightly more expensive than lunch, but the delivery fee is the same.
What is the cost of dinner and food on weekends?
Dinner on weekdays and weekend meals on weekends are 3,100 kr., but dinner on weekends costs 3,550 kr. The delivery fee is the same as on weekdays.
How do I turn off the reminders?
On your settings page you can choose to turn reminders on or off.
When does your customer service close?
Our phone service closes at 16:00, but you can always send us an email at maul@maul.is and we will reply at the first opportunity. Office hours are, however, only on weekdays between 9:00 and 16:00, and we cannot guarantee a response outside those hours.
What is this "compensation food" you talk about?
If your meal does not arrive, please let us know by calling us at 519-2939. If we are unable to send you another meal, we can offer you to go to one of our partner restaurants in your neighborhood and choose a meal and drink at the expense of Maul. Do you only deliver in the capital area?
Yes, we currently only deliver food in the capital area.
Individual dishes
What are available dishes dishes?
Unclaimed dishes work like this: others can claim your meal if you cancel the order. All cancellations made before 16:00 the day before become unclaimed dishes that others can claim. If no one claims the meal by that time, the order is automatically cancelled and the fee is as well.
Can I cancel after 4:00 PM?
After 4:00 PM on the day before the scheduled delivery and on the same day, you can still invite your coworkers to grab your meal, even though the cancellation deadline has passed. The red “cancel” button then changes to a yellow “invite coworkers” button. The charge is only waived if a coworker claims the meal, and then the charge is transferred to that person.
This arrangement is our way of reducing food waste, accommodating customers who forgot to order or cancel, and making restaurant operations more efficient.
What if the mealtime is over and a coworker ate my food?
Even if the meal time has passed and the meal has already been eaten, you can still offer the dish. A coworker can then take it later and the charge is transferred to that person.
