Plantan

Plantan is a café with a small menu, sandwiches and pastries at Njálsgata 64, run by Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, Bernódus Óli Einarsson and Júlía Sif Liljudóttir. Good coffee is offered, the menu is simple, and everything on offer is plant-based.

Pastries and dishes rotate a bit, as creativity and variety are allowed to shine, so the same thing is not always on offer. The place has a warm and homely atmosphere where people can come and eat lunch, grab coffee and pastries on the way to work or a meeting, or families and friends can meet after work or school.

Live plants are everywhere, along with old and new furniture and tableware; the space is clean and tidy, yet at the same time lively and cozy.
