LA BARCELONETA serves authentic Catalan paellas and tapas inspired by the restaurants in Barceloneta, the old fishing district by the beach in Barcelona. They were called “Chiringuitos” or “Merenderos” - the small places that sprang up in huts and old houses along the sandy beach throughout the 20th century and were an indispensable part of life by the sea.
