Maika'i now available in Maulinu

So-called Açaí bowl have enjoyed great popularity in recent years, and now locals can order such bowls from the Maika'i location.
In 2017, images of Açaí bowls began to stand out on social media. Ágúst Freyr Hallsson and Elísabet Metta Ásgeirsdóttir saw an opportunity and founded Maika'i, and Elísabet Metta had tasted such bowls on her trip to Bali.
At first, the place was operated inside the restaurant Sætum snúðum in Mathöll Höfða, but they later opened Maika'i at Hafnartorg. The place quickly became very popular.

Açaí at Maika'i is made from Sambazon acai berries from Brazil. They grow in a specific place by the Amazon River. Maika'i uses real berries, which they blend with water and a little organic syrup to achieve the right flavor.
The smoothie bowls are then topped with either granola, fruit, berries, chocolate, and cashew butter.
The bowls are perfect for those who want a light, healthy, yet filling lunch.
Maika'i is located at Hafnartorg, Smáralind, and World Class Laugum and Kringlan.
